Muji acrylic table

I have finally received my last piece of furniture to complete my small dinky apartment in Hong Kong. As you can see it’s a fully transparent acrylic coffee table from Muji and well I’m just plain excited to finally have a coffee table to use! Now for some place mats and some coasters, really gotta look after the surface now :p

Day 25 : Working at the speed of light

So again I haven’t quite updated as often as I should be considering how much happens in Hong Kong, but here goes another concise Coles Notes version of it all.

July 17-21: On the 17 of July I was rushing through the subway system in HK and was stopped by a representative of a talent agency in HK asking if I’d be interested in doing a commercial/print ad in Hong Kong. I said yes and off I went to do a few screen tests and make some funny faces for strangers in front of a camera. It was definitely an interesting and fun experience and it was definitely a new found appreciation for actors/actresses/models etc. when their job is to emote a certain feeling within the photo. Definitely not an easy thing to do when you’re asked to stick your tongue out as far as you can and at the same time smile like there’s no tomorrow.

July 29: So as you know, I’m continuing my freelance efforts and I went and posted up a free ad announcing my availability for work, and before the end of the day, I had 2 inquiries for work and followed by a sales call by Yahoo HK to pay a monthly fee to advertise my services. HK people work fast, it’s a fast city and life moves so fast things feel slow.

So I’ve just recently moved to HK and since arriving I’ve seen and experienced some interesting tid bits. Obviously since I skipped out on properly documenting my first day until today I’ll compress this post into a few photos and you can kind of gather a sense of what’s happened in the time that I’ve arrived.
